1. Who this website is for

This website and waitlist are intended for parents, guardians, and other adults. Children should not submit information through this website. Although KathaMitr is being designed for families, the current website does not provide accounts or interactive services to children.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

When an adult joins the waitlist, we collect the parent or guardian’s first name and email address and the child’s general age range. Please do not provide a child’s name, exact birth date, contact information, or other identifying details.

Information collected automatically

We use PostHog to collect page views, interactions, timestamps, referral and campaign information, approximate location, and browser, device, and operating-system information. PostHog assigns a random identifier and uses first-party cookies or similar browser storage to recognize a returning browser and connect activity across visits.

PostHog also records masked session replays so we can understand how visitors use the website and where they encounter problems. The waitlist form is blocked from replay, all form inputs are masked, and we do not send waitlist names, email addresses, or a child’s age range to PostHog.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• manage the early-access waitlist;
• contact adults about KathaMitr access and product updates;
• understand interest in the product and improve this website;
• maintain security, prevent misuse, and troubleshoot problems; and
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the website and waitlist, including Vercel for website hosting, Neon for waitlist database hosting, and PostHog for product analytics and session replay. These providers process information on our behalf under their own contractual and security obligations.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of KathaMitr or others, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of business assets. We may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify a person.

5. Children’s privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through this website. Waitlist information must be submitted by an adult. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate. Before offering a child-facing service, KathaMitr will implement additional notices, parental consent processes, and controls as required by applicable law.

6. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to manage the waitlist, communicate about KathaMitr, maintain business records, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

7. Your choices and rights

You may ask to access, correct, or delete the information you submitted, or opt out of product emails at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. You can clear or block cookies and similar storage through your browser settings.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as KathaMitr develops. We will post the new effective date here and provide additional notice when appropriate. Privacy questions or requests may be submitted through any contact method KathaMitr makes available on this website or in its communications.
